Business Plan 2014 -2024
Zimbabwe Football Development Academy- Centre of Football Excellence 2014 is a subsidiary company of Kakunguwo Holdings Ltd registered in Harare, Zimbabwe. Our HQ will be at Queensdale School in Harare until we build our own Centre of Football Excellence in the future in Kadoma. We are publicly visible and accessible on Facebook and Youtube. Our colours are red, blue with yellow stripes.
Our Business;
We identify and train players from several schools registered to work in partnership with us to achieve the organisational goal and national football goal. We recruit and train U6,U8,U10,U12,U14 & U16 as our 10 year Player Development Plan.
We aim to be a leading grassroots provider in the country as we get involved during term time and holidays if we have football tournaments.
We train players ranging from 5 to 16 years on a Ten Year Development Plan using an Academy Progress Diary and our own iTouch brand.
We have experienced coaches who we call Galaxy coaches as they sacrifice their time and money for this project to be successfull and for talented children to have a chance in a football future.Our coaches will work alongside teachers in schools to identify and promote sports as part of the Ministry of Education and Culture curriculum in 2015. Our Motto is “let teachers teach education and let academy coaches train children to play iTouch football. It is my passion and hope that we bring a career to a child at an early age so that we build a better future for children in Zimbabwe. This has been a well thought plan of action to rescue Zimbabwe`s football by engaging in grassroots football hence schools like Chemhanza Secondary from Hwedza are being successful. As we focus on a broad perspective we would like all schools` football standards raised through our coaching and expertise.
Objectives;
To train young players how to playing using the Spanish Soccer Schools Programme with the emphasis of keeping possession, playing short passes and playing entertaining football like the Spanish National team and Barcelona team. Players will be encouraged to express themselves however with the emphasis of maintaining possession and controlling the match by keeping the ball with the other team defending all the time.
Players will also be asked to play from the goalkeeper thereby encouraging short passes and team play as they build their attacking prowess following the concept of triangles of play during passage of play all the time.
Coaches will be asked to follow the FA Four corners of football which are Physical, Psychological, Social and Technical when coaching young players.
Our Brand;
Our iTouch type of football is a Zimbabwean tiki taka (total football), which was launched by this academy as our football DNA and football identity. Our main emphasis is players having full control of the game, short passes, more goals, more possession of the ball, strong defending, player movement and quick unpredictable attacking based on three zones RED, YELLOW and GREEN.
It will be called passage of play and zonal marking or playing. Players will be encouraged to play in triangles of play and defence all the time.
Coaches are required to train session using this style of play all the time.
We aim to elevate our brand to the national level then global level with success in our technically focussed players.
We will focus on FA 4 corners, Social, Physical, Technical and Psychological aspects of the game. Coaches, Players, Parents, Teachers& Public
Our galaxy coaches will remain pivotal in their role to promote our academy and brand in any Centre of Football Excellence where they are Head of Football Development. Their role will be to identify, train, groom, develop and nurture a talented football player who will benefit not only himself but his family, school, club and national team. Parents, teachers and coaches will work in a triage in order to develop a player for the future game.
All our galaxy coaches will have police clearance and ZIFA qualifications at grassroots level and their attitudes to training children will be a beacon and hope for the future game. Coaches who are found operating in conflict of the academy vision and philosophy runs the risk of being expelled or convicted in the court of law depending on the complaint lodged. Coaches must not bring the academy name and business in disrepute whenever they are conducting their day to day business either on or off the field as we are a community project. No Smoking policy will remain a key to coaches’ attitude before, during and after sessions. Honesty, Integrity and Transparency Policies will guide all individuals employed by the academy as laid out in their contracts.
All coaches will be employed on a 2 year contract subject to performance of their centre and keeping up to date with modern football coaching.
Coach and Player of the Month competitions will be conducted as a tool to motivate our personnel and players to do more.
Coaching sessions are available on our Youtube channel and facebook page. Coaches will be required to pay a subscription fees of $10 annually to stay on our register as coaches and members. Coaches will have full responsibility of their centre’s training equipment and will need to meet the minimum academy standards.
